About Home Run For Kids

Brief Description

Upward Bound House presents the 9th Annual Home Run For Kids fundraiser and race! This year’s race will look a little different… Although we will miss being together in person, running side by side, you can still be a part of a fun day and make a huge impact.

Once registered, you’ll receive information on April 1st on how to participate. We will be hosting a virtual event on the 18th, however you can do the run on your own time, any time from April 1st to the 18th (one of the benefits of a virtual race)!

Upward Bound House has established an extraordinary record of success in addressing family homelessness. Since our inception, we have helped more than 2,000 families including over 3,400 children to transition from homelessness and into permanent housing. Over 95% of these families were still in their homes more than a year after placement.

The event expects to draw over 1,200 participants and is open to the entire community, with all proceeds benefiting Upward Bound House. This is an event based around exercise and wellness, all for the good of children experiencing homelessness.

The Home Run for Kids is a great opportunity for parents, kids, local businesses, schools and the community to come together to help solve family homelessness, a growing crisis across Los Angeles.
